As many of you are aware, HTML5 has been in the works and is partially supported by several of the popular browsers. Hard to believe, since the “candidate recommendation” is targeted for 2012, and the “proposed recommendation” is targeted for 2022. Recently there have been a bunch of publications coming out discussing what HTML5 is all about. I have had the chance to peruse several of these publications:
* Pro HTML5 Programming, by Peter Lubbers, Brian Albers, and Frank Salim
* The Definitive Guide to HTML5 Video, by Silvia Pfeiffer
I am currently reviewing the later, The Definitive Guide to HTML5 Video. As I go through the book, I will post additional comments/reviews and possibly share some snippets of code.
If you are using features found in HTML5 or have found publications that are ROCKIN, Please share your reviews or comments here.
Cheers,
-Dale
PS… There is a soon-to-be-published book Beginning HTML5 and CSS3, that should be a good read as well. If I can get a copy to review I will share the review here.
